Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe improvement in students' science process skills in elementary schools through inquiry learning models. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a research design using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models which were carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, action and observation, and reflection. Participants in this study were grade IV students of SDN Gunung Puyuh CBM in Sukabumi City, 25 students, consisting of 14 male students and 11 female students. The data collection technique of this study used tests in the form of pretest and posttest. While the non-test technique is in the form of observation, field notes and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. In the pre-cycle through a test of science process skills indicators, it showed completeness of 12% or 3 students. Then increasing in the first cycle reached completeness of 52% or 13 students. Whereas in the second cycle, the completeness reached 84%. Or 21 students. The overall increase with the calculation of the gain formula scores 0.65 with the medium category. This CAR concluded that students' science process skills in elementary schools increased through inquiry learning models
