Abstract

The purposes of this research were to describe the improvement in scientific attitude of students in science learning by using the SETS approach of elementary school students. The research method which is used in this study was the class action research based on Kemmis and Taggart models that carried out with two cycles. The subjects of this research were the fourth grade students in one of the Elementary Schools in SDN Cimanggah 2 Sukabumi city with focus on the research of 39 students. Student data collection techniques are through observation sheets, and student science attitude questionnaires. Data processing techniques that are carried out are using quantitative data processing and qualitative data. This study can be concluded that the SETS approach can to improve students science attitude. It can be proven by the improvement results from the Pre cycle, first cycle and the second cycle. The percentage success of the pre cycle was 49%, the percentage success of first cycle was 65%, while the percentage success of the second cycle was 76%.
