This study aims to describe the improvement of fourth-grade students’ understanding of mathematical concepts at SDN 0711 PTP VII SOSA II through the use of Augmented Reality (AR) based learning media. The research was motivated by students’ low comprehension of abstract mathematical concepts, particularly in solid shapes and measurement. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research was conducted in two cycles from March to April 2025 with a total of 25 students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, classroom observations, and student response questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings indicate an increase in the average student score from 68.4 in the first cycle to 85.6 in the second cycle. Improvements in student engagement and positive responses toward the AR media emerged as supporting findings that demonstrate how AR contributes to a more interactive learning environment. These results suggest that AR-based learning media play a role in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding, although no inferential statistical tests were conducted to quantitatively measure effectiveness.
