Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) Pada Pembelajaran Matematika Materi Barisan Dan Deret Aritmetika

This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which aims to improve the results of learning mathematics in the material of arithmetic sequences and series for class X-5 SMA Negeri 7 Balikpapan Timur in the 2022/2023 academic year through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model. This research took place in two cycles. Data collection techniques are observation, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 36 students. The indicator of research success is if students get a score of ≥ 72 at least 75% of the total. The results of this study were that in the first cycle the average grade was 60 with a learning completeness percentage of 27.78%, and after the action was taken in the second cycle the average increased to 85 with a learning completeness percentage of 83.33%. The increase in student learning outcomes occurs because in the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model students are more active and can relate learning to real life so that they can solve questions and understand concepts related to the material of arithmetic sequences and series.
