Abstract

This research aims to analyze the mathematical creative thinking abilities of 8th-grade junior high school students in solving problems related to two-dimensional objects. This study is a case study research with a qualitative approach, and the research design utilizes qualitative descriptive  methods. The subject selection for this research utilized probability sampling, resulting in one student out of 34 students selected as the research participant, referred to as participant R1. The research instruments include a test of students mathematical creative thinking abilities and data collection method such as observation, test, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, data validity is ensured throught the use of triangulation techniques.  Students' mathematical creative thinking ability in solving flat-sided space building problems is still low.
