Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

 

Journal of Agrifish is a periodical publication published by the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi (UMMI). This journal is published twice a year, namely January and May. Articles that can be accepted in the Journal of Agrifish are the results of research, policy analysis, methodology, and scientific reviews relating to agriculture and fisheries. Articles must be original writings that never been published in national or international scientific journals.

Journal of Agrifish will publish the only paper that following guideline and manuscript templates. All submitted manuscripts are going through a peer-review process.

The aim of this journal is to provide a venue for academicians, researches, and practitioners for publishing the original research articles or review articles. The scope of the articles published in this journal deal with a broad range of topics, including: agriculture (agronomy, agricultural engineering, livestock, and socioeconomic agriculture),  and fisheries (aquaculture, aquatic resources, fisheries resources, ecotourism, environmental health, and aquatic or fisheries management).

 

 REVIEW POLICY

Manuscript submitted will be subject to reviews by an editorial team board and a peeer reviewer who experts and familiar with the relevant field of the research. After the review process, the Managing Editor will inform the authors of the acceptance, rejection or necessity of revision of the manuscript.

 

MANUSCRIPT

  1. Article files should be provided in Microsoft Word format on A4 (210x297 mm) size with margin 4 cm (left), 3 cm (top), 3 cm (right), and 3 cm (bottom). We currently do not accept other formats, such as GIF or PDF files.
  2. The manuscript shoul be written is good and correct in Indonesian or English Language.
  3. Articles should be between 10-15 pages, including references, figures, and tables.
  4. Articles are written with Arial (11 pt) and double spacing.
  5. The unit is used is the Internasional Unit (SI).
  6. The sequence of manuscripts following: Title, Author(s) Name, Author(s) Affiliation and Email, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Material and Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (if necessary), and References.

 

TITLE

Title of articles are written in Indonesian and English with Arial (14 pt) and preferably not more than 15 words. Author(s) name, affiliation, and email below.

ABSTRACT

Abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive. This abstract should provide a brief introduction to the problem, objective of the paper, followed by a statement regarding the methodology and a brief summary of the results. Abstrak should be written in Indonesian and English with Arial (10 pt), italic, and preferably not more than 250 words. Keywords arranged by alphabetically and should have at least two keywords abd maximum five keywords separated by a semicolon (;).

INTRODUCTION

Introduction is about 400-600 words, covering the background and aims of the research. The background should be clear and provide the issue to be discussed in the manuscript.

MATERIAL AND METHOD

Material and method  should be clear so readers can follow the methode used. This chapter including time and location, materials, and methodology used in the research. 

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

It should be written as a series of connecting sentences and showing a causal effect mainly explains why and how the results of the research were taken place. Using some of theory to explain or support the results and put them in references.

TABLES

Tables are listed in the body of manuscript and table numbers can be identified in the text. The title of the table should be brief and written with 1 of line spacing from the table. Table content should written with Arial at least 9 pt with single spacing. Tables made with the open model (without the vertical lines).

FIGURES

Figures in the form of graphs, maps, or pictures are listed in the body of manuscript with minimum wide of 7,5 cm by comparison of height:width not more than 2,5.

CONCLUSION

Conclusion contains a description that should answer the objectives of the research.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Acknowledgements are included if necessary, thanking the work partners or research donors who provide research funding.

REFERENCES

All the references of the manuscript should be written in APA (American Psychological Association) citation style. Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc.

Note: For author more than 2, all author’s name are written in the references, and in the citation “first author’s last name et al. (year)”
