Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of scrapbook (scrapbook) on poetry writing skills in high class. This research was conducted at Pakujajar CBM Elementary School in grade IV of even semester 2018/2019. The research method used was Quasi Experimental Design with the research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples in this research were class IV.2 and IV.3 SDN Pakujajar CBM. Sampling uses a cluster sampling technique. Data collection techniques used were tests consisting of pretest and posttest. Learning carried out in the experimental class uses scrapbook media while learning in the control class without using scrapbook media. Based on the results of the pretest showed that the average pretest value in the experimental class was 67.17 while the control class was 68.73. In addition, the results of the two independent samples t test of 0.126 are greater than the sig value. 0.05 so that it can be concluded that the experimental class and the control class have initial abilities that are not much different or the same. Furthermore, the average posttest value in the experimental class shows results of 80.52 while for the control class the posttest value obtained is 70.17. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t test two independent samples obtained sig. 0,000. Sig value it is smaller than α = 0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference from the results of the posttest between the experimental class and the control class. The increase in the experimental class based on the value of the pretest and posttest obtained a percentage of 13.5%, while the control class was 1.44%. The conclusion of this study is that there is the effect of scrapbook media on poetry writing skills in the High Class.
