Abstract

Child sex trafficking issue continues to be a rolling, however, still very little effort made to reduce the occurrence of child trafficking, especially for sexual purposes. Poverty, low education level, promiscuity are factors that push children into the world of child trafficking This study aims to determine the relationship of family factors families with girls trafficking events in P2TP2A District of Cianjur Cianjur in 2013. Design study is a quantitative study with case-control approach with 32 cases of teenagers who traded and 32 control adolescents who are not traded. The results showed cases of trafficking of girls (50%) and no significant relationship with the family economy p<0.05, parent education p <0.05, the work of parents p <0.05, and the status of residence p <0.05. The dominant factor is the job of parents OR= 9,483 after a child's education is controlled variables. It is recommended that P2TP2A, particularly the Department of Social services to improve women's empowerment efforts that improve skills, handicrafts, in order to prosper the lives of women and families. for further research carried out similar research with the variables that encourage parents to trade in their children such as lifestyle, social, technological factors and others, using qualitative
methods.
