SOCIALIZATION OF LEARNING MEDIA WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT IN IMPROVING STUDENTS' SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven transformation in the world of education, including in the use of digital learning media. However, there are still limitations in students' understanding and skills in developing websites as a means of learning. This service activity aims to improve students' ability to design and manage websites as an effective and innovative learning medium. The implementation method includes socialization, technical training, practical assistance, and evaluation, with a participatory approach. The activity was carried out for two days and involved 35 students from various study programs. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the aspects of conceptual understanding and technical skills of students. Quantitatively, the results of the post-activity evaluation showed an increase in the average comprehension score of 38% compared to pre-activity. Qualitatively, students showed increased creativity in composing content, navigation, and website interface display. In addition, most of the participants stated that this activity was relevant and applicable in the context of learning in higher education. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the socialization of learning media website development is effective in improving students' skills and understanding. This activity is recommended to be continued in a sustainable manner by strengthening advanced materials and cross-disciplinary collaboration to support students' digital literacy in the modern learning era.
