Abstract

Landslides can occur on most slopes that occur suddenly. Landslides occur due to shear stresses and decreased shear strength in the landslide field. SDN Lio is one of the schools located under the slope prone to landslides. Landslides can be overcome only by installing retaining walls.

Slope stability analysis is carried out to determine the safety factor of the potential landslide field using the fellenius method. Planning a safe retaining wall must calculate the safety factor for sliding, rolling and carrying capacity.

From the analysis conducted at SDN Lio, the stability of the slope using the fellenius method with the effect of the groundwater level obtained a safety factor value of 0.70 and without the effect of the groundwater level the safety factor value was 0.93, which means how the slope is not safe. The safety factor on the retaining wall against shear factor value, the overturning value and the collapse of bearing capacity is 4.78, 3.91 and 7.78.
