Abstract

Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi (UMMI) is the only university in Sukabumi City. The increase in the number of students in UMMI is very influential in the addition of users of motor and car vehicles, but the addition of users of the vehicle is not balanced with land/parking facilities that cause problems. Therefore, it is necessary to research the problem using daily traffic analysis (LHR) and parking Space Unit (SRP). This research aims to analyse the capacity and needs of parking lot in the current conditions (2019).

The results of the study for 7 days with an observation time of 11 hours/day obtained a maximum parking accumulation of 47 vehicles for cars and 655 vehicles for motorcycles. Maximum parking volume is 179 vehicles for cars and 3,266 vehicles for motorcycles, PTO/parking usage rate 1.1 for car vehicles and 1.1 for motor vehicles, the maximum car parking index is 109.3% and 151.6% for motorcycles. This means that car parking conditions and motor problems cannot accommodate vehicles because IP > 100%. Parking needs (NP) for cars as much as 4 parking plots and for motorcycles as much as 223 parking lots.
