Abstract

This research is entitled “Elizabeth's Behavior in the Novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austenâ€. This research aims at describing Elizabeth's behavior and describe of the influence of Elizabeth's character on her personal life. The object of this research is novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (2005). The research method applied a qualitative method. The approach used is objective. And the data collection technique used is simak-catat. The result of this study, there are 15 behaviour of Elizabeth and 10 influence of Elizabeth’s behaviour. As for the conclusion of this study, Elizabeth tends to behave poorly such as easily prejudiced bad, irritable, behave spontaneously without think before, stubborn, prestige, underestimate, too proud of herself, misbehave, talk carelessly, impolite, and cunning. Elizabeth's behavior had a positive or negative influence such as hard-tomatch, embarrassing herself, being judged badly by her mother, not getting her father's possessions, not being liked by others, self-destruct so she can not live in its original place.
